Updated over 2 weeks ago

ChangeTower supports monitoring password-protected pages by offering manual user actions to simulate user interactions with the page. By configuring manual user actions, you can guide ChangeTower through the login flow and then monitor the page content.

Step 1: Start creating a new monitor

In the left navigation menu, click on New Monitor, then select the single-page monitoring option.

Step 2: Enter the URL

Enter the URL of the page you want to monitor and continue to the monitor setup screen.

Step 3: Enable manual user actions

Under Advanced Configuration, enable Manual User Actions.

Step 4: Configure login actions

Use a sequence of actions to complete the login flow, such as:

  • Click to focus on input fields

  • Enter Text to type login details

  • Repeat click and enter-text actions as needed to complete all required fields

Step 5: Submit the login form

Use the Click action to select the sign-in or log-in button. This allows ChangeTower to access the protected content you want to monitor.

Step 6: Configure additional options

Optionally, adjust other advanced settings such as:

  • Monitoring thresholds

  • Lazy loading support

Step 7: Customize monitor details

In the Details section, customize:

  • Monitor name

  • Tags

  • Email alerts

  • Monitoring frequency

  • Save options

Step 8: Create the monitor

Click Create to finish setup. Your monitor will now track changes on the password-protected page.
