ChangeTower allows you to monitor the full page while excluding specific elements from change detection. If changes occur within ignored elements, ChangeTower will not trigger notifications.

Step 1: Start creating a new monitor

In the left navigation menu, click on New Monitor, then select the single-page monitoring option.

Step 2: Enter the URL

Enter the URL you want to monitor. After entering the URL, you’ll be taken to the monitor setup screen.

Step 3: Open advanced configuration

Under the Configure tab, full-page monitoring is selected by default. Click on Advanced Configuration and select the Ignore Elements option.

Step 4: Select elements to ignore

Once you select the 'Ignore Elements' option, a screenshot of the page will expand. Click on the elements you want to ignore so changes in those areas do not trigger notifications.

Step 5: Save ignored elements

Click Save to confirm your selection. The ignored elements will be highlighted in red in the image snapshot.

Step 6: Edit ignored elements (optional)

Click Edit if you want to add or adjust the areas being ignored.

Step 7: Configure additional monitor settings

Continue setting up your monitor by adjusting options such as:

  • Monitoring threshold

  • Manual user actions

  • Lazy loading support

Step 8: Customize monitor details

In the Details section, you can edit:

  • Monitor name

  • Tags

  • Email alerts

  • Monitoring frequency

  • Save options (save only changes or every run)

Step 9: Create the monitor

Click Create to finish setup and create your monitor.
