How do I send change alerts to other people on my team?

Learn how ChangeTower workspaces work, and how to add teammates so they receive change alerts at their own email address. This keeps alerts going to the right people instead of only the account owner.

Your setup in ChangeTower is workspace-based. Monitors and notifications belong to a workspace, not to a single person. To get alerts to someone else, add them to your workspace as a team member. They sign in with their own email address and receive alerts there.

Step 1: Invite the person to your workspace

Go to Settings, open Workspace Settings, and add them from the Team Members page. See: How can I invite team members to my workspace?

Step 2: Choose what they can do

When you invite someone, you give them a role. Roles control what each person can see and do, for example only reviewing notifications, or also creating and editing monitors. See: How can I manage roles and permissions in my workspace?

Step 3: They choose which alerts they get

Once they've joined, each team member can pick which alerts are sent to their inbox from their own Notification Preferences. See: Can I customize which alerts to receive?

Good to know

  • Want alerts at a different address from your login, such as a shared inbox? Invite that address as its own team member.

  • Prefer alerts in a shared channel? Send them to Slack or Microsoft Teams instead.

  • To pull a teammate into a specific change, you can mention them on the notification.
